About the role

We are looking for a skilled PHP Web Developer to develop, maintain and improve web applications and websites. The successful candidate should be comfortable working across both back-end and front-end development, with strong PHP and MySQL skills and the ability to troubleshoot, optimise and maintain existing systems.

Requirements

- Relevant qualification in Web Development, Software Development, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2–4 years' commercial web development experience.
- Strong practical experience with PHP.
- Strong knowledge of MySQL and relational databases.
- Good knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
- Experience developing responsive websites and web applications.
- Experience working with existing codebases and troubleshooting production issues.
- Understanding of website security and secure coding practices.
- Familiarity with Git or another version-control system.
